Octavio started his career in the metal building industry in 2001. He began working as an installer for a company called Tnt Carports. He installed with the company for 10 years. He switched to another company called Bennet Buildings, worked there for 2 years. Both of those jobs were far away from his NC home.
He eventually decided to work closer to home. He began his third job at Top Care in Kinston, North Carolina. Octavio was thrilled to be working close to home where he could come home every night. Everything was good for a while, but eventually things took a turn. Top Care was going out of business and permanently closed. Octavio was left without a job and no source of income. For many, this would be considering a low time and It was. It was a very difficult and challenging time. It was a breaking point that broke ground for Octavio. He made the choice to start his own business and work for himself doing the thing he knew how to do best, Metal Buildings. Custom Metal Buildings LLC was born in 2015.
As time progresses, Octavio desires for the company to continue grow and be able to serve all the people in the surrounding counties. In 2024, the warehouse will be repurposed to be an operating facility with an office space. It will be the new home of Custom Metal Buildings where everyone will be welcome.
